چکیده

In the current investigation, a vertically continuous casting technique was used to produce ductile iron pipe. The austempered, and tribological behavior of austempered (ADI) examined under various service conditions. finding demonstrated that ADI’s behaviors were significantly affected by normal loads sliding speeds. Spheroidal graphite preferential be transferred from matrix tribosurface in ADI high loads, speed accelerated formation lubricating layer on tribosurface. Consequently, friction coefficient dropped with increase load speed. When compared coefficient, wear rate displayed similar tendency it increased an reduced worn surface indicated adhesive at low speeds abrasive primary mechanisms for ADI.

Structural and Mechanical Characterization of Austempered Cu - Sn Ductile Iron Alloys

The effect of heat treatment and alloying elements of copper and tin on the microstructure and mechanical properties of austempered ductile cast iron alloys is investigated. The austenitizing temperature of 890°C, the isothermal transformation (austempering) temperatures of 285, 335 and 375°C, and austempering times of 15, 30, 75 and 150 minutes are studied. The alloying elements of copper and ...
